Case Study: Whitgift School

We were delighted to work with Whitgift School in the production of their ’25 Years of Whitgift Sport’ book which celebrated their remarkable history between 1991 to 2016. They marked the anniversary with an evening at the Ritz Hotel in London to share success stories and thank individuals responsible in driving the sporting focus forward.

Working with the sporting ethos ‘From Foundation to Excellence. From Playground to Podium’ combined with a £10m investment and Sports Centre in 2005 it is not surprising to see the list of outstanding sportsmen the school has developed in this time.

The book outlines not only team achievements but also features the story of individuals such as Joseph Choong (Team GB pentathlete in Rio 2016), Danny Cipriani and Elliot Daly (England Rugby Internationals), Victor Moses (Chelsea and Nigeria Football International), Lawrence Okoye (Team GB Discuss at London 2012) and Jason Roy (England Cricket International) to name just a few.

It was a privilege to work with Whitgift again on such an important publication and very pleased with the positive comments when they saw the book!

Case Study: Thinkfarm Creative Agency

Thinkfarm, an established and highly successful creative agency delivering marketing, design and advertising expertise internationally were tasked with creating a momentous book for global finance and mitigation firm ICAP PLC to celebrate 30 years of business.

The book was to be launched in Los Angeles and distributed to 5,000 employees and clients all over the world.

Case Study: Gregor McGuckin

Scanplus were privileged to produce a high quality sponsorship brochure for sportsman Gregor McGuckin who intends to compete in the Golden Globe Race 2018. An auspicious year, 2018 marks 50 years since the first ever person managed to achieve the feat of sailing solo, non-stop around the world in what was the original Golden Globe Race. In 1968, nine boats left the UK in a race to make history. Only one boat, skippered by Sir Robin Knox Johnston, made it to the finish line.

Fifty years on, the 2018 edition of this legendary race limits technology to what was available in the 1960’s. This means the competitors will have to navigate with a compass and sextant, using the stars and sun to pinpoint their position and harvesting rainwater in order to survive. It’s not a race for the fainthearted and will test competitors to their limits.

We are all hugely impressed with Gregor and confident that his determination, enthusiasm, ambition and immense skill will see him successfully through to the finish line.

Case Study: Leading University

Scanplus completed a print campaign for a leading University under the University of London specialising in the study of Asia, Africa and the Near and Middle East. The scholars of this University grapple with pressing issues – democracy, development and much more that confront two-thirds of humankind whilst remaining guardians of specialised knowledge in languages, periods and regions not available anywhere else in the UK. This makes the establishment synonymous with intellectual enquiry and achievement. It is a global academic base and a crucial resource for London.

The University was established 100 years ago with the anniversary celebrations being held in 2016 and Scanplus were commissioned to produce an Alumni magazine which reflected the centenary. The publication was mailed worldwide to their Alumni database of 25,000.

Data cleanse resulted in reduction of non delivered packs and 17% savings on postal costs. Donations increased by 6% on the previous year. The client was absolutely delighted with the outcome of the Centenary publication and mailing which resulted in Scanplus gaining a further 6 appeal mailings to print and mail during the upcoming months.
